The Record of the Minutes

From the November 1st, 2007 meeting of the

Board of Directors of the Avalon Homeowners’ Association

 

 

As a quorum is not present, the meeting can not be called to order.  Linda Smith opened an informal meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

 

Board members not present:  Sammy, Dan, Tony & Scott

Residents Present:  7

 

¨      Minutes from the previous Board Meeting were reviewed.  No vote can be taken to accept the minutes.

 

Treasurers Report:

 

¨      Mitch Beckwith gave the Treasurer's Report.   The Association is still ahead of budget for the year.

 

Committee Reports:

 

¨      Covenants:

o       No report

 

¨      Social:

o       The Halloween Carnival was well attended.

o       Garage Sale will be rescheduled for sometime this Spring

o       No other events are planned for 2007

 

¨      Clubhouse & Pool:

o       The Board is going to move forward on the purchase and installation of security cameras for the pool area.

 

¨      Landscaping:

o       Flowers were planted in the beds at the front entrance

o       Back entrance to be landscaped soon.

o       The landscaping around the clubhouse will be reworked soon.

o       The apartments fixed the broken pump station that was causing the sewage problem on East Abbey Place

 

¨      Manager's Report:

o       Fixed lights at clubhouse.

o       No problems were noted over the Halloween holiday.

o       Fire hydrants are in the process of being painted

 

¨      Welcome:

o       No report

 

Old Business:

 

¨      The association has been asked by Landmark Homes to sign a legal agreement releasing Landmark from certain terms of the of the law suit that we filed in 2002.  Our attorney reviewed this document and advised the Board not to sign the agreement.  The Board will not sign the document.

 

New Business:

 

¨      None discussed.

 

Linda adjourned the meeting at 7:38 P.M.
