March 1st Avalon Homeowners meeting

 

At 7pm sharp the meeting was called to order by our President Linda.

 

  1. The first item done was the introduction of board members.
  2. Next, Sammy Barmer moved that minutes be accepted as written and David Jackson seconded the motion.
  3. Then, Michelle Harris gave a report on money collected and financial balance.
  4. Next, Scott Reinahrdt representing the Clubhouse/Pool committee reported.  It included the information that the treadmill was replaced and that furniture modernization and replacing were forthcoming.
  5. After, Dan Loflin representing the Covenant Committee reported that the board was working on some issues.
  6. Following that the Social Events Committee report, represented by Tony Mickholtzick and Stephane Jeanrenaud, was given.  A meeting scheduled for March 5th was announced and communication was given on upcoming ideas for events and welcoming new homeowners.   
  7. Next, David Jackson, reported for the Landscaping committee.  David spoke about the condition of the Avalon Property at the entrances and the clubhouse.   
  8. Last, the Welcome Committee represented by Sammy Barmer reported speaking about updating Avalon directory.

 

Old Business

-         Among the issues discussed was the Neighborhood Watch, Architectural Review, Ditches, Retention ponds, and County information.

 

New business

  1. Matt Torres reimbursement for services rendered for the website was mentioned. 
  2. Manager report – Charles Stewart spoke on the work he has been doing on our properties and the yard sale to take place – Saturday, May 5th
  3. Rentals – wording about lease purchasing in Covenant was suggested.  Much discussion ensued from the homeowners.
  4. A Homeowner commented on Covenant rules and regulations – enforcement & updating it.   Many thoughts and some discussion were shared on this. 
  5. Another homeowner asked questions regarding garage doors and covenant violations.  It was explained that the comment made in the last minutes was just a homeowners suggestion.  
  6. A third homeowner discussed trash pickup.  Their trash was not picked up  on Tuesday.  They called Waste Management and were advised to call that day if the trash was not picked up.

 

Sammy motioned for adjournment – Dan seconded – Meeting ended at 7:57pm.
