Board of Directors of the Avalon Homeowners’ Association
In the absences of a President and Vice President of the
Board, Board Member Dan Loflin called the meeting to order at
Board members not present: None
Residents Present: None. This was a closed meeting.
2007 Board
Members:
The 2007 Board election results have been tallied, and the following new members will serve three-years terms as Board of Directors beginning in 2007. A total of 38 ballots were returned for counting.
David Jackson
Stephane Jeanrenaud
Tony Mickholtzick
Scott Reinhardt
Board Members returning from 2006 and currently serving three-year terms are:
Mitch Beckwith – Final year of Term
Dan Loflin – Final year of term
Linda Smith – Second year of term
2007 Officers:
¨ Stephane Jeanrenaud nominated Linda Smith for the office of the President of the Board. This motion was seconded by Tony Mickholtzick, and passed unanimously.
¨ Stephane Jeanrenaud nominated David Jackson for the office of the Vice President of the Board. This motion was seconded by Tony Mickholtzick, and passed unanimously.
¨ Stephane Jeanrenaud nominated Mitch Beckwith for the office of the Secretary of the Board. This motion was seconded by Tony Mickholtzick, and passed unanimously.
There were no committee reports presented at this meeting.
Old Business:
¨ A serious covenant violation dealing with the enclosure of a garage and the use of this same home as a business were discussed at length. It was decided by the board that these activities were direct violations of the covenants and imminent dangers to the property values of the Association. The Secretary of the board was charged with drafting a letter to be sent to the property owners calling for the prompt removal of the enclosure and immediate cessation of the business activities.
New Business:
¨ Scott Reinhardt has had contact with a Landscape Architect, and will work with him to formulate proposals on the possible use and landscaping of the retention ponds, and a design for a possible playground construction on the 2 lots adjacent to the clubhouse.
¨ The following are the 2007 Committee Assignments:
o Clubhouse & Pool – Scott Reinhardt
o Covenants Committee – Dan Loflin
o Landscaping Committee – David Jackson
o Social Events – Tony Mickholtzick and Stephane Jeanrenaud
o Welcome Committee – Sammy Barmer
¨ The employment of Charles Stewart as Avalon Manager will continue.
¨ Currently, full Association meetings are held on the odd calendar months. In addition to these meetings, the Board has decided to hold closed meetings of the Board of Directors on the even calendar months.
